I want to say a heartfelt thank you for your support — it truly means a lot.
I am honoured and grateful to have been elected, and topping the poll in Lyons. It is a privilege to continue serving the people of Tasmania as part of the recommissioned Liberal Government.
Congratulations to my colleagues Jane Howlett and Mark Shelton on their re-election, and a big thank you to our dedicated Liberal team — Steph Cameron, Richard Hallett, Poppy Lyne, and Bree Groves — for your tireless efforts and commitment throughout the campaign.
I’m also very proud to have been elected unopposed as Deputy Leader of the Parliamentary Liberal Party. Alongside this, I will continue to serve as Attorney General and Minister for Justice, and I’m pleased to be taking on several new roles, including Minister for Corrections and Rehabilitation and Minister for Small Business, Trade and Consumer Affairs.
Congratulations as well to Bridget Archer and Gavin Pearce on their new cabinet appointments — I look forward to working with them closely. [Click here for more details.]
It has been a huge journey and I am reminded every day just how blessed we are to call Tasmania home. It’s the best place to live, work and raise a family.
A special thank you to my wife Kate — and to my family, supporters, and all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to help.
Now, it’s time to roll up our sleeves, get back to work, and focus on what matters most to Tasmanians.
Looking forward to staying in touch.
